The Developmental Disability Services Division of DHS (DDSD) plans to reduce the waiting list by 600 people a year for the next 7 years.  There are over 6000 people on the waiting list.

It is important to make sure that your contact information is up to date with DDSD so you won’t miss your opportunity for services when your turn comes up.

If you name comes up and DDSD tries to contact you and they don’t have the correct contact information, they will move on to the next person and you will have to reapply for the services all over again.
