			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Developmental Disability Services Division of DHS (DDSD) plans to reduce the waiting list by 600 people a year for the next 7 years.  There are over 6000 people on the waiting list.</p>
<p>It is important to make sure that your contact information is up to date with DDSD so you won’t miss your opportunity for services when your turn comes up.</p>
<p>If you name comes up and DDSD tries to contact you and they don’t have the correct contact information, they will move on to the next person and you will have to reapply for the services all over again.</p>
<p>Don’t wait; make sure your contact information is up to date!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Oklahoma Parents Center would like to announce our upcoming 6th Annual Statewide Conference <strong>“Building Relationships&#8230;Creating Successful Change”</strong> on <strong><em>Friday, March 2nd, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.</em></strong> The conference will be held at the <em><strong>Sheraton Hotel at the Reed Conference Center</strong></em>, located at 5750 Will Rogers Road, Midwest City, OK 73110, 405-455-1800.</p>
<p>Our main speakers will be Matthew Cohen, Attorney and Dr. Laura Riffel, both are nationally known speakers on disabilities. Other session topics include: Section 504, Parent Involvement, Communication, Conflict Resolution, Transition, New Part C Regulation, FAS/FASD, Assistive Technology, RtI, and many, many more!!!</p>

Due to the small size of our staff and the demand from the community, PTI staff is unable to attend all requested meetings. In order to assist more parents throughout the state who need support with their IEP meetings, the OPC has created the Community IEP Partners Program.</p>
