The Oklahoma Parents Center (OPC) would like to introduce our first annual “Parent of the Year” Award!!!

We at the OPC believe it a worthwhile event to honor a parent that has shown great leadership, collaboration and parental involvement with their local school and community.

The 2012 “Parent of the Year” along with the nominator’s Special Education Department both will receive an:

The Oklahoma Parents Center envisions that utilizing the amazing technology available on the iPad 2 will help to further the education of students with disabilities and their families.

Along with the iPad 2, the OPC will bring the winner and their nominator to the conference on March 2nd, 2012 to attend a brief presentation ceremony in their honor.

We are excited to take this time to recognize, uplift and support parents of children with disabilities and hope you will take this opportunity to look at parents within your school district who exemplify the characteristics that make parents special.
