Sharon is Executive Director of the Oklahoma Parents Center. She is the parent of a 39-year-old son with intellectual disabilities and a 32-year-old son with autism. Since the adoption of her first child in 1986, she has been active in all issues and projects involving children and youth with disabilities, and increasing their ability to advocate and work as partners with schools and providers to increase their academic success and live more productive and independent lives. 

Sharon has successfully directed the federally funded Parent Training and Information Center for the past sixteen 16 years and served previously as State Coordinator/Information Training Specialist for ten (10) years. She has an extensive background in management, having owned and operated two successful businesses; the latter having employed and supervised over fifty (50) employees.
