Speaker Profile

Amy Duncan

Amy Duncan loves spending time with her family, she grew up in Kansas City, attended MidAmerica Nazarene University and has a background in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.

Being the mother to Joshua, her son with significant intellectual disabilities and rare genetic conditions has fostered her passion to serve families.

For the past 14 years Amy has worked for the Oklahoma Family Network (OFN), as the Central Regional Coordinator, Statewide Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health and NICU Coordinators. Her position has allowed her to invest in the work of advocating for and supporting families of children with special healthcare needs and disabilities while “Realizing that every interaction you have is an opportunity to make a positive impact on others.”

Amy would say that her greatest accomplishment to date would be being the mother to her two adult children, Courtney, and Zachary, and to have had the privilege to love and care for her 15-year-old son, Joshua, until his final day.
