Biography

Dr. Michele DeBerry is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the College of Allied Health at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Michele serves as the Director of the Oklahoma Autism Network and the Director of the Lee Mitchener Tolbert Center for Developmental Disabilities.

Michele’s core values center around building consensus, fostering diversity, and creating respectful dynamics in all her endeavors. She believes that collaboration and understanding among stakeholders are fundamental to providing the best possible services for individuals with disabilities.

Michele enjoys serving as a resource for various professionals and community members involved in the care and education of individuals with disabilities. From providing guidance and support to parents and caregivers to collaborating with general education and special education teachers, related service providers, school district administrators, and evaluation and eligibility teams, Michele’s expertise is a cornerstone in ensuring comprehensive and inclusive support.

Her drive to make a positive impact in the field has led her to actively participate in research, training, and advocacy initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Dr. DeBerry’s accomplishments, dedication, and unwavering passion for serving individuals with disabilities have made her an exceptional leader and role model in the field of allied health and special education.
