The Oklahoma Parents Center (OPC) has created this page to inform parents of ways to get involved more. This will include Stakeholder Meetings, Councils, Boards, Survey, Focus Groups, and any other thing that might give parents access to important community involvement activities.

SOONERSTART TARGET SETTING
The SoonerStart Early Intervention Program is required to set targets for the State Performance Plan (SPP)/Annual Performance Report (APR) indicators for the FFY 2020-2025 submission to the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) on February 1, 2022 and in subsequent years. Targets must be determined with the input and guidance of stakeholders who represent all aspects of early childhood programs in Oklahoma: parents, early intervention staff, state agencies, support organizations and early childhood advocates.
We would greatly appreciate your participation in stakeholder discussions to set targets for APR indicators that reflect services environment, early childhood outcomes, family involvement and child find. The first target setting discussion was held via Zoom on Thursday, September 16, 2021.
The next discussion is set for Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 1:00 PM – 2:15 PM to complete our discussion of SoonerStart targets for the next six years. We value your input! Please REGISTER in advance for this meeting.
Please also share this invitation with colleagues, parents and other advocates around the state who you would like to participate, too. We want all of Oklahoma represented. OK State Advisory Committee
The primary purpose of this 5-year project is to build the competence and confidence of young adults with disabilities in Region B-2 to access independent living and employment services so they can more successfully transition from the youth entitlement system to the adult eligibility system. Our Resource Center will also help family members and professionals improve their capacity to support these young adults with disabilities on their journey.
