Parent Training Centers

Parent Training and Information Centers are located throughout the United States and territories.  Every state has at least one Parent Training and Information Center (PTI) to offer families all kinds of information:  information about the disability of their child, about early intervention (for babies and toddlers), school services (for school-aged children), therapy, local policies, transportation, and much more.
Many states also have a Community Parent Resource Center (CPRC), which offers the same type of support and training to parents of children with disabilities. For a quick read on what PTIs and CPRCs do, and how they can help parents and families of children with disabilities click on this link, Parent Center Hub.  This article is a great summation of what PTI centers are all about and what they do!
PTI’s are divided into regions.  All PTI’s are under the same umbrella of assisting parents who have a child with a disability.  Each program has a different name, but all serve a uniform purpose.  To locate any PTI located in the U.S. and territories, just click on Find Your Parent Center .
The Oklahoma Parents Center, Inc. (OPC) is located in Region 3.
